Today, January 27, train no. 90 (Sancaka) from Yogyakarta arrived at Surabaya Gubeng Station 22 minutes ahead of its schedule (12.54 AM). Unfortunately, it still took 5 hours 2 minutes to travel from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. It failed to break the record (my version, of course) on February 19, 2006, when the travel duration was 4 hours 43 minutes. But it is still faster than other road transport vehicles such as cars, motorcycles and buses, of which the travel duration is more than 5 hours 30 minutes.
Updates: February 3, 2008: Train no. 90 arrived 18 minutes earlier. February 17, 2008: Train no. 90 arrived at 12.35, which was 19 minutes earlier. March 21, 2008:Train no.90 arrived at 12.36. April 13, 2008: Train no.90 arrived at 12.38. May 4, 2008: Train no.90 arrived at 12.35.
